Albert B. Fertich was born in September 18491, the son of Adam Joseph Fertig/Fertich
and Anna Bolich2,3. He was born and raised in
Butler Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania2,3.
Albert married Clara J. Horn in 1879 or 18801. Clara was
born in January 18511. Albert and Clara lived in an
apartment on Columbia Avenue in Philadelphia1,4. They
moved to the city sometime prior to 18925 and lived there for
the remainder of their lives1,4,6. He was the owner of a
paint store4,6.
Albert and Clara did not have any children7.
Albert and Clara were close to his niece
Amelia Jane and her
husband
William Allen Eyster, Sr.6. Amelia was the daughter of
Albert's brother, Benjamin Franklin Fertich6. Albert
and Clara would take a train from Philadelphia to Sunbury to visit them
every spring and fall6. They kept their belongings in a
chest in William and Amelia's attic6.
Clara passed away sometime after 19204 and Albert died
sometime after 19276.
William went to Philadelphia after Albert’s death to help settle his
estate6.
