Timothy M. Fertich was born on February 7, 1853, the son of Adam Joseph Fertig/Fertich and Anna Bolich^1,2,3. He was born and raised in Butler Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania².

Timothy passed away on March 22, 1863, only six weeks after his tenth birthday¹. He was buried next to his father, brother and half-brother at the Bickel Cemetery, south of Lavelle¹.
